Reebok Retro Hi Trainers
Fans of retro 80’s style hi top trainers are sure to love this great shoe from Reebok. The first thing I must mention about this trainer is the excellent comfort it offers. It really is in a class of its own for ankle support and cushioning.
Reebok never was very fashionable in the 1980’s and is still not considered one of the market leaders – however this particular model stands out well above the rest of their current offerings and even beats Nike’s Air Force Ones in terms of comfort. Another bonus is that this is a leather shoe – no canvas that can get wet and is difficult to clean after you have been out in bad weather.
Getting this shoe on and off is really easy. Some high top trainers require you to undo most of the laces to get them off, but these trainers just need a quick tug on the top two rows and you can easily slide your foot out.
The padding on the ankle area is very good. Reebok have been generous with the foam and it gives the shoe a very luxurious hugging feel.
For those who aren’t great fans of dark colours (and who can blame you?) Reebok also make this shoe in a couple of other colour schemes. The green style though does go well with the gum sole
Overall a great boot style trainer that looks good, feels great, and works well for sport and street wear.
Pros: Extremely comfortable and easy to get on & off.
Cons: Dark? – but it is available in other colours!
Overall score: 9 out of 10.
